Before we begin, it is important to follow the four cardinal rules of safe gun handling.

3. Never put your finger near the trigger until you are ready to fire.
4. Always be sure of your target, and what is behind and in front of it.

Improving your grip:
Step. 1 The ideal sight alignment is called "Equal Light, Equal Height". Equal light means the front sight is in the center of the rear sight. Equal height means the front sight and rear sight are vertically aligned. Other sight alignments could have the front sight centered, but not vertically aligned with the rear sight or not in the center, but vertically aligned.
Step 2. Sight focus is important. The front sight should be clear, while the target and rear sight are slightly blurry.
Step 3. Pro tip for beginners: Trigger pull is king. Make sure your trigger pull is consistent.
If your target is close to you, 5 meters or 7 yards away, all 3 sight alignments can result in an alpha hit. Your aim does not have to be "Equal Light, Equal Height". At this short distance, you can get away with small precision errors in your aim to be more efficient. To maximize speed, be comfortable with working the 3 different sight alignments. For your sight focus, you can also get away with the front sight not being so clear. Closer targets, you can save time by not trying to aim too much and use acceptable sight focus.
Targets at further distances, the errors in your sight alignment and focus will negatively affect your aim. Practice "Equal Light, Equal Height" for sight alignment and focus on the front sight. Doing these with improve your aim.
